3Rd Anniversary Celebration

For our 3rd Anniversary, we had our diner at Coliseum Cafe, Jalan Tunku ABdul Rahman...

We all sampai dalam pukul 9 pm macam tu and tak ramai orang...APa yang I observed, most people yang datang situ more to chillax...

So, this is what we ordered:

For appetizer: Prawns Salad :

Hainan Bread, Mushroom soup with bun:

Main Dish For me : Sirloin Steak

For Dear, Beef Rib:

Overall, the food was nice..my steak was grilled the way i like it..and mushroom soup is so home made taste...

Price: reasonable and affordable..

Definitely a choice to come again...

Well, actually i wish to have Winter Coat, but my dear said," Nak buat ape? Buat kat Malaysia ni ada salji pun..."..ok, at least something than nothing kan...but love it so much because it is PINK!

Mee Udang Kuala Sepetang

Mee Udang Kuala Sepetang is one of the famous mee udang in Malaysia besides Mee Udang Sungai Dua.

So, during our Le Tour De Perak, of course this is a must go place on our list. Actually, I know about this famous mee udang from my classmate in UKM, Zul (oh yes, for us he is the guru of food).

If u happened to be in Kuala Sepetang @ Port Weld (history here), u can see quite a numbers of stall selling mee udang mushrooming along the road side..but we only aim to the famous Salleh Stall... i think the Mee Udang Kuala Sepetang originated from Salleh Stall.

We ordered a plate of kueteow goreng udang and of course the mee udang... the taste..SUPERB!! .the prawns are quite big and juicy and it tastes fresh (not like the one i always bought in Tesco~definitely different taste). Especially the fried kueteow, i must it is the best in the world... But for the fried kueteow, the prawns are smaller type.

Next, we headed to the next famous mee udang of Kuala Sepetang which is Warong Mak Teh Mee Udang Banjir. We knew this spot from JJCM.

As we are still full from the food of Salleh Stall, so we ordered only a bowl to share. There is two types of Mee Udang served here ~ udang laut and udang sangkar...SO, we choose udang laut.

There is about 10 prawns in it, and the size is about the spoon size.The gravy is thicker than the one in Salleh Stall but both are uncomparison cause each has its own specialty taste.

Except. as its name (mee udang banjir~ u hardly find the mee than the prawns). Its like a udang with kuah and wise dish mee (if u understand what i mean)

Actually there is another famous and well known Mee udang Stall which is Mee Udang Mak Jah but we are too full to have another plate. Maysbe some other time when we come here. Done..off to Muzium Matang a.k.a Kota Ngah Ibrahim

Kellie's Castle

One of my favourite trip was when we (me & hubby) had our tour around Perak.. We called it Le tour De Perak. the four days trip included Batu Gajah, Ipoh, Taiping, Bukit Larut is really a worth a lifetime...

we took so so many pictures but too bad that my external hard disk has corrupted so we lost most of it..so, here are some of it..

First pit stop is Kellie's Castle..This mansion was built by  William Kellie Smith as token of love for his wife..more stories here..and here. We spent about two hours exploring the castle...

Photographing was like crazy because there is a lot of nice views to capture...from every angle and level...seriously, i told hubby i wish we could had our wedding photography session here...my simple conclusion~ beautiful architecture and nice view especially from the roof top..

Outward Bound School

Salah satu pengalaman yang tak dapat dilupakan dalam DPA adalah modul OBS..bagi seorang yang sangat tidak sukakan aktiviti luar dan lasak terutama yang memerlukan pendedahan di bawah cahaya matahari, sememangnya modul ini adalah sangat2 mencabar keayuanku sebagai seorang gadis yang mulus...kuikuikui..

But, in the end, I really enjoy the experience...and seriuously kalau sape2 nak tanamkan jati diri dalam diri anak-anak or membentuk displin diri, menguji ketahanan diri, hantarlah masuk OBS ni, x payah lah nak pegi kem-kem yang tah pape kat luar sana tu... Even wataniah pun tak dapat nak memberi "lesson learned" yang boleh dikenang seumur hidup macam yang akan dapat di OBS ni...

Dua aktivit mencabar adalah whale and kayak..

Nak tau apa tu whaler ~ ianya kapal macam cerita viking yang kena kayuh pakai pendayung secara beramai-ramai tu..huhu, bayangkan la kena paddle 5 jam di bawah panas tengah laut tu.. I? mabuk laut sampai muntah-muntah hingga bila sampai kat darat pun rasa badan ni bergoyang macam dlm kapal..

Then, camping le..camping real punya, masak sendiri k..hahaha, nasib baik la boleh telan gak nasi berlauk sardin dan telur tu...we need energy..yang pastinya akibat kepenatan, we all diner pukul 6 and supper pukul 8 and terus tido..huhu..dan pastinya semua tido lena sebab hujan...lucky enough, our camp tak bocor sebab group kitaorg mmg semuanya sgt pakar...

And kayak plak..fuhhh..paling menguji emosi..8 jam di tengah laut..rasa nak give up sgt bila tak sampai-sampai...but now, kalau pegi Pangkor...how proud i am to say i pernah keliling pulau ni naik kayak je tau..ko ado? Berbeza dgn masa whaler, this time malam di camp site tu i and few friends tak tido awal... we all lepak2 minum neslo dgn biskut gula dgn unggun api sambil sembang..heaven! starbucks di tepi pantai..

Malam terakhir, ada BBQ ni..food..heaven giler...and setiap group kena buat performance...so my group buat story pengalaman masa we all whaler tu..

Hotel Istana

1st Anniversary Celebration pada tahun 2010...
Actually ni adalah belated celebration sebab on the actual date, me kena out station...
But, it worth a wait sebab finally dapat celebrate di Hotel Istana..

Bilik nye sangat cantik dan besar, especially the bathroom sampaikan i cakap dakt hubby, esok2 kalau ada rumah sendiri nak buat bilik mandi macam ni...

Then, dapat 1 kg cake dari hotel yang sangat yummylicious!!!

Though juz a night stay, tapi really enjoy the romantic diner..

Nasi Ayam Hainan Restoran Syukran

Salah satu favourite saya adalah nasi ayam...

Selalu kalau terasa nak makan nasi ayam hainan, one of favourite place adalah Restoran Syukran..lokasinya berhampiran dengan Giant Seksyen 13 Shah Alam..bagi saya, nasinya simple tapi sedap...ada dua pilihan roasted or steamed..

Lain-lain menu yang saya suka dan selalu order adalah hainan chicken chop and ying yong...

Si adik sedang menghayati makanan..seperti biasa..

Cameron Highland

As usual, setiap tahun me and my close office friends akan plan for vacation. Actually tahun ni we all nak pergi Tioman tapi atas sebab-sebab tertentu terpaksa postpone ke hujung tahun. Tapi memandangkan masong-masing otak dah tepu dengan kerja, so secara tetiba kami plan for mini vacation...Destinasi pilihan~ Cameron Highland... dah nama pun mini vacation, so 4 orang je yang dapat join...2 of my friends bawa hubby and anak skali..

Actually, this is my second time to Cameron... First time dulu sebab ikut my friend balik.. dye memang orang CH... this time pun we stay at her parents' chalet~ Sri Juliana Chalet sebab kitaorang call hotel lain semuanya dah penuh..last minit plan la katakan..

We all bertolak from Putrajaya hari Jumaat malam around pukul 10pm camtu and arrived CH around 2.30am. Of coz, check in je terus tido la sampai ke pagi..dah la sejuk menggigit tulang..hahaha, of coz la "anak dara" dua orang ni yang last skali bangun pagi..

So the whole Saturday tu adalah hari jalan-jalan di CH..

After breakfast, 1st destination adalah Ladang Strawberi Big Red Farm sebab ladang ni dekat je dengan chalet kami..activiti wajib adalah memetik strawberi...ada cafe juga untuk menikmati pelbagai hidangan berasaskan strawberi...we all order strawbery smoothies, strawberi coklat dan pancake strawberi..

Next, we all ke Galeria Time Tunnel yang terletak di Kok Lim Strawbery Farm..more info here... Yang bestnya di sini sebab seolah-olah mengimbau nostalgia zaman kanak-kanak melalui item-item yang dipamerkan... mungkin kalau budak-budak zaman sekarang yang pergi they all tak akan rasa apa-apa sebab barang-barang tersebut tak ada signifikan dalam kehidupan mereka... 

 

Next destination for tea time adalah Ladang Teh Cameron Valley..wajib la kan ada gambar ala-ala hindustan di ladang teh tu.. My menu for tea: one set of scones and traditional black tea..

Then, ingat nak posing-posing la kat Ye Olde Smokehouse Hotel tapi tak boleh nak masuk sebab penjaga tu kata Guest ramai..so, dapatlah tangkap gambar kat luar je..

 

Later, just drive sampai ke Tanah Rata dan Ringlet, tapi singgah kat Flower Nursery je.. dah tak larat nak jalan ke Bee Farm..Malam, haruslah ke Pasar Malam Brincang...then balik chalet semua collapsed..huhu, sib baik bawa Flanil...

 The next day, sebelum balik wajib ke Kea Farm beli sayur-sayur nak bawa balik..huhu, geram betul tengok sayur-sayur yang segar dan murah-murah gile...dari kononnya nak beli sikit je terus TERborong 3 plastik besar..semua jenis sayur I ambil...hehehe...tapi i tak beli bunga/roses langsung..boleh? pelik? hehehe...tapi kalau penggila roses memang rasa nak borong dengan baldi baldi sekali (macam my friend yang sorang tu).. beli macam nak buka florist kat KL...

Tak beli bunga dapat ambil gambar pun jadilah...lagi everlasting kan....

Balik, we all lalu Tapah sebab ingat nak singgah mandi kat air terjun(tapi hujan la plak) dan makan ayam goreng Tapah, tapi takde rezeki kedai belum buka (ke memang tutup hari Ahad? x ingat la)...masa datang malam tu we all lalu Simpang Pulai...

tak sabar plak nak tunggu next trip ke Tioman...
